And all of it is true and to me lovely, but it doesn’t bring back the magical man that I cared about so deeply. The sixty years between us–I was in my early 20’s,. he in his mid-80’s when we met–didn’t affect either of us; we loved the inner person, it was the spirit within us that drew us together. The delight in his eyes was reflected in mine.
The memories are strong today because two of my books,. described above and to the right, have just been sold through Amazon and sent off to unknown buyers. I wish I knew who these discerning people are. In its 103 pages, based on his letters to me, they’ll find an unusual and accurate portrayal of a brilliant man who was a flawed and loved human being despite his international renown He was not an ancient perfect Buddha.
When there’s a new moon I always salute BB. I know his spirit is up there. He greeted the new moon as a symbol of hope and future adventure.
